About This Course

Are you “sick and tired” of your patients being “sick and tired” as a result of their poor health? Inflammation doesn’t just wreak havoc on the oral cavity; inflammation can be detrimental to overall health as well. How you take care of yourself not only impacts the mouth, but the entire body as well. This program details specific strategies for optimum overall health, giving participants tangible action steps for decreasing their own inflammation.

After the completion of this CE program, attendees will be able to:
1) Explain the current science surrounding inflammatory diseases
2) Differentiate between pro-inflammatory foods and anti-inflammatory foods
3) Understand how lifestyle choices influence both oral and systemic inflammation
4) Describe the cascade of clinical events that define periodontal disease infections along with therapeutic intervention strategies

An Adjunct Assistant Professor at UNC Chapel Hill, where she also received her Master’s Degree, Stacy brings over 20 years of dental industry experience including clinician, corporate dental business, and most recently as a coach with Inspired Hygiene, a national hygiene coaching and practice consulting firm in Charlotte, NC. She is committed to empowering dental teams to blow open the doors of what’s possible in their practice.

Kim Miller

Kim Miller, RDH, BSDH is a Lead Profitability Coach with Inspired Hygiene. She is co-founder of - a trusted source for oral systemic research. Graduating from Loma Linda University in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene, Kim is also a two time graduate of the Bale/Doneen Mentor Preceptorship.

In addition to clinical practice, Kim has more than 20 years of coaching experience. She has mentored hundreds of dental professionals in workshop and private practice settings. She is a published author and columnist for RDH Magazine.

Approved Pace Program Provider
CE credits are provided by Inspired Hygiene. Inspired Hygiene is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing dental education programs of this program provider are accepted by the AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of approval extends from 6/1/2014 to 5/31/2020.
Students who successfully complete this course will receive 1 Continuing Education Credit.
